You're invited to apply for the Forward Together grant program

Research shows that young people who have at least one strong connection are more likely to make healthy life choices. That’s what the Forward Together campaign is all aboutTo deepen and broaden its impact, Forward Together is funding community-led efforts that create new opportunities for youth to get connected to friends and supportive adults.

Organizations that would like to participate in the Forward Together grant opportunity can request funding ($5,000-$15,000) to be used to either create a new project or fund an existing effort.

Please don’t wait as funding is limited! The Forward Together team (The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, the Colorado Department of Human Services, and its media partner SE2) will be collecting applications through March 31, 2022. Notifications of grant awards will be shared in early April.

Your grant proposal must support the Forward Together campaign objectives:

  1. Help young people find/create stronger connections to other young people.
  2. Support young people with building skills that can help them to create stronger connections.
  3. Conduct outreach to parents and adults to help them connect with the young people in their lives. Adult-facing projects must demonstrate the ultimate goal of connecting with and supporting youth.
  4. Increase awareness of the Forward Together campaign among youth ages 10 to 17 years old, as well as parents and other adults who support youth.

In addition, please keep in mind:

  • Your organization must be a nonprofit (and provide 501(c)(3) documentation).
  • The project you propose must engage youth in the planning and implementation.
  • Your team must track and provide a report on the results of your project. Our team can help you with this process.
  • All projects must wrap up by June 30, 2022.
